Tackling Ocean Plastics Recovery with Innovative Solutions

“MOC Shipyards is collaborating with Morsoul Holdings Pty Ltd, Coastal Plastics Recovery (CPR) Limited on CPR’s major “Polygoneproject©”.

This is an innovative process devised by Robert Fowler as the “Polygoneproject©” team leader is to address a major problem in ocean plastic waste recovery-contamination. AMT-PWT has undertaken the challenge of assisting with the functional design and construction of the “Polygoneproject©” device. This is a unique challenge in combining sophisticated science related to denaturing proteins with marinised mechanisation. A remarkable collaboration and world first. We are building a 25.0M Catamaran for Terry and Christine Moran, which will play a key role in this project as it will be the CPR vessel for the “Polygoneproject©”.

AMT-PWT is assisting with the designing and constructing the shredder and compactor units that are needed to facilitate the process to transform recovered ocean plastics into durable plastic bricks. This process offers a scalable solution to reduce ocean pollution, protect marine ecosystems, and minimize the need for landfills whilst addressing very tight bio security issues enforced by most countries.

The Polygoneproject© represents a practical approach to plastic waste management preventing the impact of microplastic forming in our oceans. As we work together, MOC Shipyards is proud to contribute to a cleaner, healthier planet through innovative and sustainable practices.
